Buy with Card
Fund your account with Visa, Mastercard, Apple Pay or Google Pay: who runs the checkout, what it costs, where the money lands, the verification.
What it is
From the Wallets screen, Add money, Buy with card (or Apple Pay and Google Pay where available) opens a checkout where you pay in your currency and receive USDC (or SOL) in your TRUE wallet, usually within minutes. It works on the web app and in the mobile app.
Who runs it
The checkout is provided by Onramper or Crossmint and their licensed payment partners; which one you see depends on your region and account, and both take card, Apple Pay and Google Pay. Onramper has been TRUE’s default card lane since September 2026 and Crossmint joined in October 2026. Banxa remains available as a fallback. Every purchase, whichever provider ran it, shows in the same Card purchases list. TRUE never sees or stores your card details: the checkout runs with the provider, and the wallet the money is sent to is signed by TRUE’s server, so it cannot be swapped for another address on the way.
What it costs
The provider’s fee and the exchange rate are shown in the checkout before you confirm, and the amount you see at confirmation is the amount charged. Rates can move between opening the checkout and confirming; the checkout shows the current one.
Verification
Card purchases are regulated payments, so the provider asks you to verify your identity (KYC) the first time, and sometimes again above certain amounts. That verification is with the provider, not with TRUE, and it is the same for every exchange that takes cards.
Where the money lands
In the wallet you chose at checkout: your Solana wallet for USDC on Solana or SOL, your EVM wallet for USDC or ETH on Base. It shows on the Wallets screen and in Wallets, History as a deposit. To trade perps with it, deposit from the wallet to your TRUE Exchange main account.
In chat, TRUE AI can open a card purchase for you; the checkout itself always runs with the provider, with your confirmation, and never from a voice call.
